PXG's New HOT ROD Technology

The innovative crown design was influenced by the aggressive hood designs of muscle cars.

The design also includes several performance-enhancing features, including a supported club face that transfers energy efficiently through the club.
This allows for more efficient energy transfer at impact, resulting in better ball control and distance.

HOT ROD technology also features a precision anti-glare finish, exceptional aerodynamic design and advanced precision variable weight technology.

PXG 0317 X GEN2 Hybrid

The PXG 0317 X GEN2 Hybrid has a classic shape for confidence at address. Featuring Hot Rod Technology inspired by the look and superior performance of American muscle cars, the hybrid features a game-enhancing carbon fiber crown and weight-forward design. These elements work together to dramatically reduce energy loss, creating higher ball speeds for incredible distance and accuracy.

Carbon Fibre Crown

The rigid carbon fiber construction reduces energy loss for faster ball speeds, while the dynamic styling of the crown provides focal point and stability at address.
Various face technologies

The high-strength steel face used in the 0317 X-GEN2 Hybrid is incredibly thin, and the Variable Design optimizes the face to promote even faster ball speeds.
Honeycomb structure of TPE (thermoplastic elastomer resin)

The sole is fitted with a honeycomb-structured TPE (thermoplastic elastomer resin) that changes elasticity depending on the situation. It has a structure that suppresses irregular vibrations. This improves the feel, sound, and performance of the impact.

Differences between GEN1 and GEN2

The initial ball speed is about 1.60 to 3.20 km/h faster
Low spin of about 300 to 400 rpm
Increased flight distance by approximately 7 to 10 yards

Wide range of fitting options

The silver weights on the 0317 X GEN2 Hybrid are made of high density tungsten (4.1g or 2.5g) and the black weights are made of low density titanium (0.8g). The weights allow you to easily adjust the moving mass that affects spin and bias. The club head weight can also be freely adjusted.

Straight Bias

This weight distribution places mass towards the front of the clubhead.
Draw Bias

This weight distribution creates a draw bias effect by placing the weight towards the heel side of the clubhead.
Fade Bias

This weight distribution places mass towards the toe of the clubhead, creating the effect of producing a more faded, biased shot.
High trajectory

This weight distribution places mass towards the heel and toe for a higher MOI. This setup will increase spin rates to around 200-400 rpm.
