PXG 0311ST Muscleback

The decisive difference from conventional irons

■ Evolution of technology ■ Increased distance ■ Improved initial ball speed ■ Further pursuit of feel and sound

  • NEW IMPACT REACTOR

Impact Reactor with Extreme Dual Core Technology Dual Layer Structure

  • First layer

A high strength polymer is used to support an extremely thin, high performance steel face.

  • Second layer

By using a soft polymer with excellent flexibility, extremely high resilience is achieved upon impact.

  • Forging method (5-step forging)

PXG 0311 GEN3 irons are forged from 8620 carbon steel, which is considered relatively soft. This 8620 carbon steel is forged five times to increase its strength. This process helps to prolong the life of the grooves on the face, and the irons will look even better with continued use.

PXG iron heads are made by combining parts that are shaped using their own tools, so each part is forged separately.

  • CNC Milling

CNC milling is the process required to achieve the final shape, allowing for a thinner, more performant design that cannot be achieved through forging.

  • The world's thinnest face

The face is made of strong and durable HT1770 maraging copper. The face is 1.5mm thick. The material built into the inside of the face and the structure on the outside allow for a thinner face, which allows for unparalleled ball velocity and stability.

  • Face welded using precision equipment

This welding method reduces the effects of heat and results in stronger, more accurate bonds.

  • PXG Weight Technology

PXG's unique weighting system allows us to create clubs that make the most of the CG location (center of gravity) and MOI (moment of inertia).

The weights are a combination of two types of weights: lightweight titanium weights and heavy tungsten weights.

  • Chrome plating process

The plating process is carried out in several stages. This ensures durability and reduces wear on the club even after long-term use.

  • Head polished using precision equipment

Precision equipment allows for extremely precise grinding of the sole and face, ensuring every head is identical.

PXG has drastically reduced the individual variations in club finish that occur when polishing by hand.
