By using Daido Steel's DAT55Ti, which has a light specific gravity and high strength, for the face, we have achieved high repulsion and a low center of gravity.



By forging extremely hard titanium and milling it to the very limit of what the rules allow, and then double milling around the face, we have achieved extreme deflection. It enables the ball to have an initial speed comparable to that of a driver.


By using a forged cup face structure instead of the conventional snap-on face, the repulsion area has been significantly increased, making it more resistant to mishits.


Until now, most crowns were made of stainless steel, so no matter how thin the crown was, it was still heavy.
However, the ES5's full titanium body makes the crown as thin as 0.7mm. The weight is concentrated in the sole, and the tungsten weight makes the center of gravity 18.0mm (W/#3), the lowest in the series' history, possible. This produces an astonishingly high trajectory.


The full titanium body and tungsten weighting create a low center of gravity, which reduces backspin and allows for high, powerful shots.


If the face is not square at the moment of impact, the ball will not fly straight. We offer two face angles (break to the left F and Square F) to suit various types of golfers, such as those who turn the face or not, and those who place the ball in the center or to the left.


For those who get little run, it is due to excessive backspin. By moving the head spot to a shallow center of gravity (closer to the face), the amount of backspin is reduced by about 500 rotations, resulting in a strong trajectory without the ball flying up. If the ball doesn't go up, the spin is too low and the carry is not coming out. By making the head spot deep center of gravity (rear weight), the ball will launch higher and have higher spin, which will greatly increase the flight distance.

Designed specifically for fairway woods to combine control and ease of use, it reduces excess movement at the tip of the shaft, reducing topping and duffing mistakes that are common with fairway woods.
The moderate flexibility and ease of timing allow for just the right impact.
In addition, you can choose the optimal weight and hardness from two weight types, so it can be used by anyone.

I'm not good at 3W, so I always used 5W, but I wasn't satisfied with the distance. I was trying to master 3W, and then I found ES5. It's a 42-inch 5W, but the ball goes up well, and I'm very surprised that the distance is as far as 3W. I'm also satisfied with the pleasant metallic sound of the impact.		I was satisfied with the previous model, the ES4 FW, because it was easy to aim and had good direction, but when the fifth generation came out, I was curious and tried hitting it. The flight distance definitely increased by more than 10 yards. I couldn't help but ask, "Why!?" The secret seems to be the material of the head... Anyway, I really like it and it's now playing an active role as a long second.

It is particularly useful for the difficult short holes at Yomiuri GC, where members can play. You can get carry even from the back tee, and because of its high trajectory, it will hit the green and stop firmly even on a downward slope, so you can attack without fear of hitting it over. The direction is also excellent.
