PXG 0311 Black Ops Fairway Wood
|
The PXG 0311 Black Ops fairway wood features a flat sole, square face design, and an innovative head shape that is shallow when viewed from the side, making it ideal for golfers of all levels. It also features the most versatile fitting technology of any PXG club. The high, easy-to-launch fairway maximizes distance and reduces ball drop dispersion from the tee or the fairway. It also sounds and feels great when you hit it.
Points of interest
・High moment of inertia ・Surprising ease of use ・Maximized distance ・Medium spin design ・Super fast ball speed ・Reduced dispersion of ball landing point ・Excellent sound and feel

Technology that unlocks Black Ops performance
|
High Speed Square Face The PXG 0311 Black Ops fairway uses a proprietary stainless steel face and a low center of gravity to launch higher, optimize spin and generate incredibly fast ball speeds. The squared face design, with a more vertical perimeter shift and increased surface area, significantly increases the forgiveness of the clubhead.
High-strength carbon fibre crown The crown of the PXG 0311 Black Ops fairway wood is constructed from premium carbon fiber. This lightweight material reduces mass in the crown and redistributes it under the clubhead and around the perimeter for an ideal center of gravity that's easier to launch.
Through rigorous modal analysis testing, we developed an innovative, analytically-backed weighting structure that delivers amazing sound and feel. High-precision
weighting technology is positioned as close as possible to the clubhead's perimeter and fixed to the outer wall of the head, creating a precise, strong and stable structure that produces high-frequency vibrations. Through modal analysis, we studied vibrations and found the shape that produces the ideal feel and sound.
ROBOTIC POLISHING Robotic polishing is a precision process that manufactures face thickness and curvature (bulge and roll radius) to exact design specifications, maximizing performance and generating spin for ideal ball launch even on off-centre shots.
Head Design The 0311 Black Ops fairway woods are constructed from high-strength AM355 steel and feature an easy-to-hit, shallow head shape. The club head body features a square face and flat sole, which allows for mass to be placed low and close to the perimeter for improved forgiveness.
High-precision weighting technology The PXG 0311 Black Ops fairway woods come equipped with two light (2.5g) and one heavier (12.5g) replaceable weights in the sole to allow for tuning of the desired spin and bias. The weights are available in 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, 15, 17.5 and 20 gram options and can also be used to adjust the overall head weight.

If you don't hit it, it won't fly! Speaking of the shaft movement that is most frightening, reverse bending is the problem. If you design it to prevent reverse bending, you will maintain the normal forward bending until the moment of impact. The DI series is a shaft that perfectly embodies this idea!
The DI series does not go to the left even when you hit it. Few people, whether they have a fast or slow head speed, hit it at impact. The DI5 R1 would be perfect for veteran golfers who can no longer use the S club and have switched to the R club, but who are having trouble with hooking the ball and losing stability.
DI usually targets long hitters who can hit the ball nearly 250-300 yards. The specs that will please those who have difficulty controlling the clubs are the DI6 S, X and DI7 S, which are perfect for those who use DG irons. Especially for those who can swing over 320g with a #1 club, the DI 7 and 8 series use a highly elastic material made using nanotechnology at the tip, which reduces head vibration at impact and gives the same sticky feel as the DG.
However, if you throw the ball extremely inside-out to the right, you will not be able to grip the ball and will end up pushing it. Basically, it is not a shaft that will catch, so it cannot be used unless you lower the flex by two levels and use a head that will catch.
So it's fair to say that the DJ series was created for young, energetic amateurs who have a push to the right. It is best suited to a slightly out-in trajectory, but for those who want to hit hard from above, the DI is very easy to swing, allowing you to hit the ball right to the center and make a bold swing.
Also, advanced power players who can hit irons and fairways well and whose drivers tend to go left or right will surely like this DI series w/#1.
When inserting it into a FW, whether the w/#1 is a DI6 S or a DI7 S, the DI7 S will be sufficient. As I wrote earlier, the DI7, 8 series has a lot of tenacity in the tip, so it doesn't move around. As a result, it can be used as is without cutting, and there is no need to make it too heavy or stiff like other shafts.
