Miura Giken CB-302 Glamorous Cavity Iron

This one-piece cavity head is made by soft iron forging, and features a glamorous cavity shape that challenges the limits of the forging process.

Although it has a shape with a strong sense of volume, it achieves a high level of both forgiveness and operability through effective weight distribution within the cavity for each count and a sole design that allows for easy release.

Introducing the CB-302, a head that can be used to the fullest by everyone from average golfers to advanced golfers.

CONCEPTS

The cavity is V-shaped, centered directly behind the impact area, and the weight is effectively distributed between the toe and heel, taking into consideration the functionality required for each count.
The head shape allows the entire head weight (=power) to be transmitted to the ball without loss during impact. The 160g weight (#7: blue part in the image above), which is 60% of the total weight of the head, is distributed to the extremely deep cavity sole. This is an increase of 1Og compared to the sole weight of the CB-301, achieving an even lower center of gravity.
Although the launch angle is high, the well-thought-out cavity shape allows for a strong ball trajectory that resists wind.

The sole width (#7: head center part) exceeds that of CB-301, achieving 19.8mm, the largest in the history of MG irons for an integrated soft iron forged head, and providing tolerance against head entry errors.
To address the problem of head slippage, which is a concern with wide sole heads, we have adopted a camber sole with a rounded back face side, providing a firm bounce effect while pursuing good slippage.
It is less affected by the grass and lie conditions and allows you to swing comfortably.
The sole shape has wide adaptability to swing trajectory and head incidence angle, and can accommodate golfers with a wide range of swing types.

The face length is 2mm shorter than CB-301 to 71.5mm. And the heel height is 1mm higher, to 34mm. It is a head that can be used by a wide range of target groups, as it has a small size and good operability, while achieving high straightness with little left and right ball wobbling.
The address view has a rounded overall outline, while the blade part has a strong and voluminous impression, similar to the back face.
The moderate offset, the volume of the heel, and the beautiful connection of the surfaces that wrap around the ball create a sense of unity throughout the club, creating an exquisite sense of calm and gentleness at address.

We have optimized the weight distribution on the back face to match the performance required for each count.
The weight on the toe side and heel side is changed depending on the count, starting from the V-shaped top of the sole.
The long iron has a weight distribution that makes it easy to turn the head and makes it difficult for the ball to go out to the right, while the short iron has a weight distribution that makes it easy to control the trajectory of the ball without getting caught too far to the left even if it goes down firmly. It has become.
We actively use the weight, which accounts for 60% of the entire head, to achieve the required performance.

■ Approximately 6g lighter than the Zelos 7, which was the lightest in the world at the time of its release

The tireless challenge of "lifelong steel" has once again cleared the hurdle of achieving both light weight and strength/toughness. By matching Zelos' unique special material "NZNS60" with the latest technology, we have achieved a weight reduction of approximately 6g (※). Of course, the strong trajectory and stable direction unique to steel shafts remain intact, and the flight distance performance has been improved with a sharp swing that is comparable to that of a carbon shaft. This is the birth of a new "lightweight in the world" that surpasses the ZELOS7, which continues to be a hit as a new genre of lightweight steel. (※Compared to Zelos7(R))

■ An easier-to-use "long-distance steel" for the "lifelong golfer" is born

The weight reduction of about 6g contributes to an increase in head speed and ball initial velocity. It also optimizes the launch angle and spin rate. The gently flexing rigidity design makes it easy to get the timing right and makes accurate impact even if the head speed is not fast. The resulting ample distance eliminates the handicap caused by age. The comfortable feel of the impact in your hands will never disappoint the "lifelong golfer" who is particular about steel and does not choose to compromise.

■NSPRO Zelos6

By combining the special new material "NZNS60," which was developed over a period of more than two years, with new technology, we have achieved both the strong trajectory and stable direction unique to steel shafts, as well as the distance performance produced by a sharp swing that is just as good as that of a carbon shaft.

It is approximately 6g lighter than the NSPRO Zelos7(R), which was the lightest in the world at the time of its release. It contributes to increased head speed and optimizes launch angle and spin rate. It combines distance performance and ease of use, befitting the name "long-distance steel."

Although it is tip-heavy, the rigidity design gently flexes from the grip side to the head side, making it easy for golfers with slower head speed to get the timing right and achieve an accurate impact.

By optimizing the amount of spin and launch angle, it is possible to achieve lower loft for the irons and lower spin on the ball.

It solves the problem of the ball bowing (lack of carry) caused by a lack of spin, which is common among golfers with low head speed. With the right launch angle and spin, it achieves distance performance that rivals that of a carbon shaft. It also provides a solid feel and directional stability that will satisfy the "lifelong golfer" who doesn't want to compromise by sticking to steel.

This is the birth of a new "lightweight" rod that surpasses the Zelos 7, which continues to be a hit as a new genre of lightweight steel rod.
