Customize the optimal center of gravity by adjusting the weight of the three weights.
Like the SMS wedges, the SMS irons feature a weighting system that uses five different weights (2, 4, 6, 8, 10) that are optimally positioned to match the center of gravity and swing plane that suits each player, allowing the player to find the center of gravity that is best suited to them.
Generally, the center of gravity of an iron set increases as the number increases. This makes short irons easier to grip and long irons harder to grip, but the weight system of SMS irons allows the center of gravity to be shortened even in long irons, making it possible to improve grip.
Hollow structure improves ball speed and provides the ultimate feel
The SMS irons are made using a special manufacturing process that welds a maraging steel face to a hollow body made of forged soft iron. In addition, polyurethane foam is inserted into the hollow body.
We have adopted maraging steel, which is generally used for iron faces that improve the initial velocity of the ball when bounced, but by inserting polyurethane foam, we have achieved the soft feel that is unique to soft iron forging.
Working in synergy with the new gravity design, it achieves both distance and feel.
Adjustable in 2g increments from 6g to a maximum of 30g. For those who want to adjust the specifications for each club.
